I want to know how to burn and watch both dvd's and cd's and I will be doing college coursework, games, etc. on it, and it doesn't enjoy to be extremely fast(not turtle slow either though).
Answer:
hmmm, resembling gaming laptop with AMD? i would perfer Alienwares but they cost alot tho..... save, then grasp a Dell.
p.s. how cheap are we talking something like here? the price ranges
For a laptop:
Go to Wal-Mart and go to the computer isle and you will see laptops starting from the $500's.
For an ISP:
Either choose Linksys wireless internet or Adelphia. I own adelphia and it's great.
Ok. Seems like you involve a laptop for multimedia purpose and to do some coursework. In that case in that are some major things that you hold to consider.
The speed of the processor, capacity of the sturdy disk, memory and VGA. As you are budget minded I think you can try the brand Acer. Because as far as i know, its the cheapest near some good config.
You can run for a Duo or Core Duo processor depending on the budget with 1.66 GHz CPU, atleast 512 mb RAM (1GB Recomm.), 60 - 80 GB HD, Dedicated VGA near atleast 64 mb - 128 mb recomm.(best for games) or Shared VGA and a dvd or cd writer to burn your stuffs.
Try comparing other models like Acer, Compaq and Dell. A most substantial thing is the warranty and the customer support you obtain. Rest is upto you my friend.
Cheers!
