you hold down the fn (function key) and then press one of the buttons on the top of your grand piano like f1 f2 f3 f4 etc. in attendance should be small logos on them to describe what these shortcut keys do. similar to mine control brightness and volume etc.

THERE'S A Fn KEY ON ALL PC'S NOT JUST emachines.
IT'S SIMILAR TO THE SHIFT KEY. BUT YOU USUALLY HAVE TO HOLD DOWN Fn,ONE OF THE F KEYS AND ANOTHER KEY TO PERFORM A FUNCTION...SEEMS KINDA COMPLICATED TO ME, BUT I GUESS PEOPLE GET THE HANG OF IT.
SEARCH Fn IN HELP AND SUPPORT AND YOU'LL SEE ALL THE DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS emachines MAY HAVE ADDED ADDITIONAL SHORTCUTS.Fn E EJECTS THE CD/DVD TRAY ON MY COMPUTER.
