What is the difference between the chipset contained by a 2.16 & 2.33 GHz MacBookPro? Is it worth $500 more for 2.33?

I am trying to wish if I need the faster processor for my digital music production or if I wouldn't perceive any difference. Go to http://store.apple.com/1-800-my-apple/we... to view the Apple Store.

Answer:

You won't spot the difference between the two, so unless you really need it, the 2.16Ghz device will be fine. The difference in price though isn't slightly $500 because the system that is $500 more includes and extra 1GB of RAM, so the actual difference between the two processors is smaller quantity than $500. The actual difference in price between the two is really $325 if you affix an extra 1GB or RAM to the first machine.

BTW, those aren't chipset, they're cpu's (central processing units), chipsets are an entirely different entity.
Get the 2.16 Ghz model and purchase 3rd party RAM beside the money you saved. You won't see much difference between the two CPUs. What you will see is better narration with the more RAM that you should purchase and install.
