What it the best laptop for the buck?

Answer:

Acer are pretty cheap and cheerful. I dunno in the region of the build quality, but i've have one now for a couple of months and it hasn't died on me. It be also the only lappy i could buy next to 120gig hard drive, 1 see ram, dvd writer, 15.4 widescreen monitor, etc, etc for smaller amount than lb500.
I like my Dell; Others approaching HP
Acer- Taiwan company trying to get surrounded by the US market, so the price is low, the aspect is not bad, although some empire think that it is not that stylish. Third surrounded by selling computers



Hp/Dell- Dell known for cheap price, Hp set for quality, both are within the first 2 in selling computers (don't know which is first and second, one or the other...)
