Probably own to be over USB 2.0. I have a Dell Inspiron 1705 and it have a DVI port but otherwise just USB. All the reviews I can find on tv tuners are for desktops and give the impression of being to need to interface to a nouns card which in my travel case isn't an option. Anyone manage to do this?

haupagge, sells several usb models, these are external boxes, they connect to cable and later to usb. if you are just watching tv after a software version of their pvr is fine. if you want do something on the computer and transcript shows, get the hardware usb2 pvr that enjoy the hardware encoding of mpeg2. the box does all the processing work, and the laptop is just a disk drive.
but a USB TV Tuner card....which you bring it from 15 USD
check out the hauppauge usb tuners, excellent products
